Film Synopsis Lillian, a young woman scarred by the trauma of her abusive stepfather, becomes the prime suspect when he dies under suspicious circumstances. Alex, a police officer assigned to the case, recognizes Lillian as his long-lost childhood friend during their first encounter, complicating the investigation. As Alex uncovers Lillian's painful past, he is torn between his duty to the law and his desire to help someone he once cared for deeply. In the end, Alex chooses to support Lillian, helping her leave behind the shadows of her past and find hope in a brighter future.

Director's Statement Lily explores themes of domestic violence, revenge, and redemption, depicting a girl's journey toward healing under the shadow of abuse. Domestic violence remains a critical social issue, leaving lasting scars. Despite using questionable means for revenge, Lillian's story seeks to inspire women facing similar darkness, encouraging them to rise above their circumstances and redefine their futures. The film's slow and gentle pace unfolds Lillian and Alex's mutual redemption through the investigation. Warm tones in flower shop scenes highlight Lillian's inner kindness, while cool tones reflect her solitude and struggles, emphasizing her tragic past and resilience. Inspired by Decision to Leave and Into the White Night, Lily delves into complex human emotions and relationships. Through its evocative visuals and poignant sound design, the film sheds light on resilience and hope, sparking reflection on social issues and the indomitable human spirit.
