A Ring a Day is a chronological series of rings, inspired by a 2009 study by Dr Phillippa Lally which found the average time to make a behaviour automatic is 66 days.

Returning to the ring as her subject, Burton commits to redefining her artistic practice, remaking again and again the first object she ever learnt to make in the jewellery studio.

Driven to create daily, no matter her mood, energy or resources, the usual judgment and perfectionism is suspended, resulting in a vast variety of designs, each a representation of the day on which it was made.
