The film, print-media and sound work, 'It's chewing', explores themes of transience, reflecting on inherntly temporary aspects of the natural world. Through Kayle's process driven approach, the work suggests that everything is impermanent, or is forever permanent but will shift forms through the course of time. Rather than confronting these concepts directly, the work acknowledges them as something too large to be grasped directly.

Central to Kayle's practice is the use of deteriorating film as a medium, which undergoes natural decomposition within various environments by exposing the film to organic processes, allowing external forces to shape the imagery, resulting in unpredictable forms. Each image explores the intersection of human intervention and the uncontrollable forces of nature.

The sound piece embodies the fusion of representational and abstracted forms by transforming fingerstyle guitar into abstracted soundscapes through the use of digital techniques. The process of sonic decay, blurs the line between structure and abstraction. Integral to the composition are feild recordings from diverse locations around the world. These are woven together to form an atmosphere that transcends specific geographies and times.

Kayle interprets his perceptions distinctively, contrasting impressionistic and representational art through his cross disciplinary practice to create each work.

Kayle is a multidisciplinary artist exploring the intersections of photomedia, printmaking, and sound. His practice is distinguished by an approach that harnesses natural processes such as weathering and decay to drive the creation of his work. With a tactile and experimental approach, he pushes traditional boundaries of traditional mediums by using unconventional techniques, inviting unpredictability, resulting in works that are as much about the creative process as the outcome.
