I approach this painting with the idea that everything begins with a structure, much like living creatures in nature, which have their inherited DNA. The DNA of my painting is the square, which serves as its fundamental unit. From there, I slowly build the layers upon one another.
Viewing painting through a photographic lens, where each element is like a pixel and together these pixels form an image. For me, the square holds a particular aesthetic, as it is strongly connected to geometry. By constructing the painting using geometric shapes, I establish a system that gives the work structure. The painting become not completely fluid, but with a framework. This approach is also inspired by cuneiform writing from thousands of years ago, where each plate had unique characteristics and was used to record information. Similarly, painting, for me, acts as a language with its own grammar and vocabulary. The only difference is that, unlike written text, painting is less precise, allowing room for imagination, while still conveying the main idea.
