Harrison Bird
About
This work explores the cultural and misanthropic nature of extreme music, especially black metal. A subgenre of extreme metal that focuses on hate, spirituality and isolation; originating in Norway with heavy inspiration from pagan roots and rejection of Christianity as well as the harsh environment of the Norwegian mountains. You may find this work unpleasant, some may not even enter the installation; however, such a hostile environment and exclusive access is what perfectly translates the values of this music.

Typically Harry’s work is two dimensional however recently he pushed into other forms of art which relate to his core concepts such as sculpture, and the utilisation of sound.
