Unfair Love is a story about an older sister named Zhaodi whose parents and younger brother left her to work in the city, while she stays in her old home in the countryside. Being far away from her parents, she hopes to get the support of her parents, so that she can complete her high school studies in the city in future. But her parents are more willing to put more resources on her younger brother. Zhaodi feels jealous, but she also tries to accept it and reconcile with her brother. ​

Once her parents’ return home from a vacation, Zhaodi has a long-lost meeting with her younger brother, whom she hadn’t seen for a long time, and they spend an amazing moment together in their hometown in the countryside. However, in a small fire accident caused by her brother, Zhaodi’s parents blame her and shifted responsibility for the accident to her, just in order to protect her younger brother from punishment. The behaviour and attitude of her parents deeply hurt Zhaodi and caused her to fall into confusion. What does herself existence mean to her parents and this family?​
