About
In my final project, what I want to create is a combination of canvas and fabric, and finally placed in my mother’s garden. In my works, I also use paint or cloth of different colours to create some words on the surface of the work. These words will be some of the words my mother often says to me. My work is placed in the garden where my mother works hard, and this garden is also her work for my mother. In this way of exhibition, there is a feeling that the emotional inheritance of mother and daughter is held in it.
The bottom fabric of my first work is blue and white, which combines the colour of the fish pond in the garden to add a different feeling. On the top of the first work, I wrote three sentences with paint and cloth. They are: Sleep early; Wear more clothes; Study hard. These three sentences are also what my mother often tells me. Seeing these three sentences will remind me of my mother. What’s interesting is that all I write on it is English, and my mother doesn’t know English. So when she saw my work, I would explain to her the meaning in Chinese, so that my work was more interesting and interactive.
